Ultimately I just wanted my stuff back and if that wasn't possible I'd like some compensation, I said that I understood a monetary refund was unlikely but asked if I could get the value of the items refunded with in-game currency, so I could buy them back, or better yet, just add them to my account. I personally believe this is an issue on Gaijins end, either they use some absolutely abysmal security solution or there is some kind of leak, and the fact that this issue seems so prevalent just shows complete negligence on their account regardless of the cause or causes.Įdit: I got the same copy/paste answer of basically 'can't fix it, go away'. They refused to help me in any way at all even though I had bought a car packs and told them I would buy more if they helped me out. I told them I use it on steam and only access the game on steam. They confirmed the IP's that hacked me then told me it is my fault I did not use 2 step verification. The account had never done any kind of crafting but had thousands of market transactions. It was a very plain looking account with random letters as the name.

I pinpointed the person I think was taking my stuff. I even sifted through close to a hundred pages worth of market transactions. I got in touch with Gaijin and told them what happened. I found out (from Reddit and from people in game) this mod is 'the only mod with personal ties to the admins'. 20 minutes after I log off this all started and was done by the time I came back from doing laundry. Over the 24 hours before I got hacked I was harassing one of the main Crossout mods. I am almost certain the leak was on Gaijins side or it was done by Crossout mods themselves. Hundreds of transactions happened during this time.

Everything I had was sold and then all my gold was spent on specific items. 1st by Russia, then by Ukrain IP, then Alabama US, then Russia again. My account was logged into by 4 different IP's over a 2 hour period. My hacker used the game client and not steam to take my shit. My steam log ins have 2 step verification. I have used computers for years and have never had anything hacked.
